Description

Our organic spruce needle hydrolate for foods is based on needle raw material of the species Picea abies. Outside the country, the product bears the name Spruce organic hydrolate for food. The Pinaceae family includes the genus, and the needles for processing come from areas in Bulgaria. The care of the plantations follows organic principles, which is why the raw material remains free from synthetic residues right up to the harvesting of the needles. Only the needles go into processing, while the branches and bark are separated beforehand. Steam distillation links the raw material to the final profile, because the aqueous phase takes up its volatile substances and retains their strength in the finished product. The strong scent carries a fresh base, and the resinous side and forest nuances accompany it from the beginning to the end of the profile. On inspection, the color covers tones from colorless to pale yellow. The faint yellow tone is due to compounds that the needles themselves release during processing. The product appears as a clear liquid and retains its transparency throughout its entire volume. The resin ducts fill the mesophyll of the needle along its entire longitudinal axis and give rise to the great strength of the scent in this coniferous family. The composition of the needles and twigs includes bornyl acetate, limonene, pinene and borneol. The oxygenated monoterpenes borneol and terpineol form the basis of the aqueous phase of this species. In addition, the finished liquid comprises water and the free volatile substances of the raw material, while added colorants and preservatives are not part of its composition. Organic cultivation determines the pure composition of the final product. The fresh forest note remains dominant in organic spruce needle hydrolate.

Application

Storage

Store organic spruce needle hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for food products, preferably dark glass, which protect the hydrolate for foods from light.
